Grady Dirk McMinn is Here

Grady Dirk McMinn in here! He was born on May 20, 2011 at 11:04 A.M. He weighed in at 8 lbs 11 oz and was 22 inches long. Both he and Amanda look great and are doing well. He looks just like Brock when he was born and I'm sure in a couple months he'll have just as much hair and be just as crazy.

Amanda is amazing! There's no way that I'd be able to do what she does. I'm sure neither of those comments come as a surprise to anyone though.

Brock wanted nothing to do with Grady right after he was born. Brock screamed and pushed Grady away ever time we tried to get him to hold Grady but he wanted to watch everything the nurses were doing to him. Today he made a huge step and gave Grady a hug but then he pushed him away.

Obviously, Camryn was the most excited one in the family about the new baby. She is 100% a mini version of Amanda. She really likes being the only girl, and for obvious reason.

Trent is the best big brother. Brock loves him and wants to do everything that he does so we're sure it will be the same with Grady.

I know it has been a while...but we are still alive! We had a great easter with friends and family. Steve did his best to get a good shot of them all together in their easter outfits (thanks Aunt Stephanie!). We hope you all had a great Easter.

Steve's First Birthday

Steve's Mom sent us this picture of Steve on his first birthday. It is pretty scary how much Camryn and Brock look like Steve...even the same hair!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today was the big 3-0 for Steve. He insisted that he did not want a surprise party! I surprised him by NOT having a surprise birthday party!!! It was hard for me to do, but I resisted. It turned out to be a nice evening with just the family since my sister and her family weren't able to make it. We grilled steaks, had mashed potatoes, yellow cake with chocolate frosting (cake decorations provided by the kids=lots of sprinkles and m&ms!!!) and mint chocolate chip blue bell ice cream (Steve's favorite). As you can see, the kids were thrilled to be able to blow out Steve's candles for him. You are the best Dad and husband EVER...Happy Birthday Steve!!!

I don't think he will have ANY problem next week for his first birthday!!!

Camryn's first day of Preschool

So proud to be going to preschool. Two of my friends and I started switching houses to have preschool with our younger kids. They love it!

Trent's First Day of Kindergarten

Trent's first day of "real" school was today. The bus picked him up at 6:58am and won't be back until 3:18pm. Most Mom's would have dropped their child off, especially on the first day, but Trent begged and begged to ride the bus. Luckily his neighborhood friends that are older and experienced were riding the bus too! It wasn't too hard saying good-bye this morning because he was soooooo excited, but the day is dragging on. I just want him home so I can ask him a MILLION questions. How was your teacher? Was she nice? How was snacktime? Did you eat all your lunch? Did you make any new friends? Did you see any old friends? Did you get lost? Did you have to go to the bathroom by yourself? So many questions and I still have three more hours before he gets home!!!
Camryn woke up a little bit earlier than usual to see her brother off at the bus!
